Meet Jay

I’m Jay.

I’m still learning to notice.

For most of my life I’ve been a pastor, teacher and companion to people trying to make sense of God, themselves and the strange business of being human.

I served for 23 years as a senior pastor and have also worked as a chaplain and coach. Along the way I’ve been present for birth, death, doubt, burnout, beauty and more than a few moments no one could have planned.

These days I’m increasingly interested in stories—the small moments that crack something open and allow us to see what was there all along.

I’m still learning, still laughing, and still convinced that grace has a habit of showing up in places we nearly missed.
